Northstar Digital Literacy is a website that teaches students digital literacy skills. Each of the modules have assessments ready to test students' knowledge. Proctored assessments are tests that students take to earn a certificate. A passing score is between 85 -100%. Students get certified when a Digital Zone tutor proctors them while they pass a test. Proctoring ensures that test takers pass an assessment without using notes or cheating. A passed and proctored assessment earns a learner a certificate in a module.

As of January 2026, thirteen out of eighteen Northstar modules have lessons that cover the assessment's content. Northstar continues to develop lessons for each of its modules.

Below are the supplemental resources created by the Digital Zone to help lol博彩 students improve their confidence and performance for certification around Information Literacy, Your Digital Footprint, and Supporting K-12 Distance Learning. Students can take practice assessments up to two times a day, or one practice assessment and one proctored assessment a day. There is no penalty for failing assessments.
